Meet the team

Fred McClellan

Fred McClellan was born and raised in Bellefonte and moved to the State College area in 1976-77. “I’ve been involved in the construction trades for the larger portion of my career. My Father was a custom home builder and operated a flooring store.” Prior to the flooring business he was in the logging industry for a couple years. “I formed Jr’s in 1988 as a flooring installation company and grew into what we are today.” Fred has been involved in thousands of different projects both residential and commercial as the owner of Jr’s. You may find him hunting, fishing, boating, racing trucks in the mud or working with horses and enjoying his many pets.

Stephanie Varner

Stephanie Varner was born and raised in Huntingdon and moved to State College after graduating from Juniata College in 2011. Stephanie joined the Jr’s team in 2019. She is putting her Information technology and marketing skills to use here at Jr’s. Her upbeat personality and willingness to learn has made her role at Jr’s ever growing. She offers in-house design work and will work alongside the customer to bring their renovation dreams to life. Through product knowledge and sense of projects, we are able to do full Kitchen and bathroom renovations to smaller single day jobs. Aside from working with our customers Stephanie is also the Marketing and Sales manager. She has creative control over these areas and continues to help grow the Jr’s business.

David Houtz

David Houtz has been a part of the Jr’s family since 2006. Dave is currently our operations manager, handling our warehouse, goods coming in and out of our facility. He comes to us with an exquisite background of knowledge in tile, woodworking, home projects and more. His attention to fine detail has left our customers blown away after he’s finished a project for them. Dave has brought great value to our business and core values as a whole. Dave’s kind heart and making sure each project gets done to satisfaction has grown our customers simply from the quality work he offers.
